ATOM SW BULLETS BACK TO WINNING AFTER FIRST LOSS
On Wednesday November 13, the Atom Southwest Bullets hockey team (2-1-1), of the LM LL, dominated their road game against the East Lambton Eagles (2-5-1) in Watford, outshooting their opponent 36-13 on their way to a full team effort 7-1 win.

The first period began with ELE pressing SWB in the first two minutes of play. SWB took over play and opened the scoring 2:31 into the first period when Owen Dewild (#2) picked up an errand ELE pass and scored unassisted to make it 1-0. The SWB team began to control most of the play from that point on. This was most evident when Morgan Hutson (#24) picked up a hooking penalty with 4:58 to play in the opening period to give ELE the only power play of the game. The SWB put on a penalty killing clinic against the ELE as they hemmed their team in their own end for nearly the entire two minute penalty. SWB were rewarded for their hard work, shortly after the penalty had expired, with their second goal of the opening period to make it 2-0 with 1:42 remaining when Dylan Henry (#40) banged in a loose puck in front of the goalie with Ethan Keating (#6) picking up the lone assist. As the clock ticked away to end the first period Peter Katsoulakos (#16) picked up a pass from Dewild at centre and using Braxton Haggith (#8) as a decoy, skated toward the ELE goalie from the outside on a two on one break, and with the sellout crowd shouting to shoot, fired a rising wrist shot scoring with only 0.6 seconds left in the opening period to make it 3-0. SWB were short on players with a few regulars missing from the line-up but were able to outshoot the ELE team 12-4 in the opening period.

The second period began with SWB taking command of the game outshooting ELE 17-6 in the period. Sawyer Watson (#36)  scored 2:53 into the period when he knocked in the rebound from an Owen King (#22) shot to make it 4-0. Haggith made it 5-0, 3:06 later, with Dewild assisting on the play. The ELE team finally got on the score sheet with 2:54 to play in the second period when they caught Jacob Smith (#30) unprepared for the shot to make it 5-1. It did not take long for SWB to get that one back as Henry trounced on a loose rebound with 2:11 to play to make it 6-1 in the second with Watson picking up an assist on the play.

SWB came out in the third period defending their commanding lead with Keating scoring the only goal of the period 0:30 into the period with Henry picking up the lone assist to make it 7-1.
