Southwest Bullets Pee Wee Shamrock Weekend Recap
Glencoe Legion Southwest Pee Wee Shamrock Team had a busy Thanksgiving weekend.

The Bullets team along with A/P players Megan Hamilton and Charlie Pierce, travelled to Dresden Saturday to clash with the Jr. Kings.  Early in the second period Jordan Cronin dug for the puck in the corner, throwing it out front of the net for a hard blast by Elijah Barnes.  Jayden Keating picked up the rebound and fired it in the top shelf.  The Bullets played hard and had numerous shots but the outstanding Jr. Kings netminder denied any further goals.  The Bullets suffered a 3-1 loss.

Coach Dan Oliver acknowledge that the Bullets are beginning to move the puck well.  "A couple unlucky bounces worked in Dresden's Favour" he said, "and our kids played with a lot of heart, giving it their all...they battled hard for the puck."

The Bullets continued to battle on Sunday versus the visiting Blenheim Bruins.  Cronin scored a shorthanded goal in the second period assisted by Jack McAlpine.  Third Period, Charlie Pierce earned an unassisted goal.  The Bullets demonstrated excellent strategy and control on the penalty kill throughout the game.  Despite intense pressure by the Bullets in the last few minutes of play, the Bruins came away with a 6-2 victory.

Next Game Action for the Bullets is on Sunday October 20th at the Southwest Middlesex Arena at 4:10pm when the Port Stanley Sailors come to Town.
