AGM Summary and Next Board Meeting
Last night saw our Annual General Meeting (AGM) which was reasonably well attended. Our next board meeting is posted on site and is May 11 at 7:00pm at the Glencoe Train Station.

AGM Highlights were:

Discussion - there was healthy discussion about the past season, banquet, and communications improvement opportunities.  Our Shamrock rep discussed possibilities for a tiered system in the Shamrock league - a proposal was discussed at the Shamrock meeting this week, but was tabled to be brought up again at their next meeting.  The summary of the current proposal was to have three tiers that would see our association in the middle tier, and AE teams from all associations in the bottom tier.

1. The passing of amendment to bylaw concerning exceptional circumstance involving the up-movement of a player from lower age to higher age.  This will require approaching the board before tryouts and the player being ranked in the top three of the team they are wanting to move up to.  The consensus was that it would be an exceptional situation where a player of the correct age would get displaced from a team by a younger player.

2. The titles and roles of the board were amended to reflect current roles required to best serve our associations.

3. Six board positions were vacated (as required by 3 year term) and one was vacant due to resignation.  These positions were filled with seven applicants standing - no vote was required.

After the AGM concluded a brief Board meeting involving the new and remaining members was held, to assign positions of the new board.  Keep an eye on the website under executive for that list to be posted shortly.
