As we get started with our program in the next couple days, we wanted to remind everyone of the Proof of Vaccination Policy for entering the arenas.
As mandated by the Government of Ontario, Proof of Vaccination will be needed to enter the arenas by anyone aged 12 years and older, if not participating in an activity. Individuals 12-18 years old can enter if participating in an activity. This will be enforced by the Municipalities at the entrances of the arenas. This goes for players as well as spectators and parents. The Municipality of Chatham-Kent policy can be found on our website under COVID NEWS. We have not been given a formal policy from Southwest Middlesex yet. When we do it will be posted there as well.
As of Oct 31st, all players/coaches/volunteers 12 years and older will need to provide Proof of Vaccination to participate in any OMHA event. This is an OMHA policy and it can be found on our website.
If these mandates/policies will effect your child's ability to participate in minor hockey this season, we ask that you please let us know as soon as possible so we know our numbers for the season. Full refunds will be given if we are notified by 11:59pm on Oct 31st. Please email Sean VanBilsen at

We know this is a difficult time and some of these requirements require much thought. We trust that everyone will make the best decision for their family and Southwest Minor Hockey will not advise or pressure anyone in their decision making.
