Novice Shamrock Play Three On Weekend
The Glencoe Lions Club Novice Shamrock team played three games in as many days this weekend with the first game being in Thedford on Friday evening against the always tough Lambton Shores.

The Bullets kept the Shore in check playing a tight defensive game for the first two periods holding the score to 3-2. Unfortunately the Lambton Shores team found the passage way towards the net in the third ending the game at an 8-4 score. Bullets scorers were Brad McAlpine with three for the hat trick and Kelvin Huston. Assists were had by John Van Bilsen on one of the McAlpine goals and Noble Stonefish and McAlpine on the Huston goal. Mr. Big chocolate bars went to Wyatt Johnson, McAlpine and Jaxon Aubertin.
Game two was played in Glencoe on Saturday afternoon against the Ridgetown Rebels. The Rebels had some speedsters on their team who were very hard to keep in check. Despite a good effort from the Bullets the final score was 12-5 for the Rebels. Brad “top shelf” McAlpine scored 4 goals with his patented wrist shot and Jaxon “Digger” Aubertin scored the other. Assists were made by Evan Demaiter, Morgan Hutson and William Lambrecht. Mr. Big bars went to Wyatt Johnson, Devin Graham and Kelvin Huston.
The third game of the weekend was also played in Glencoe on Sunday against the Port Stanley Sailors. The Bullets were looking for some revenge on the Port Stanley crew but unfortunately they fell just short but not for lack of effort especially with a few kids playing under the weather. Final score was 6-2 for the Sailors with both Bullets goals scored by McAlpine. Assists on the goals went to Jordan McIntyre and Evan Demaiter. A Mr. Big Bar went to Kelvin Huston.
Despite the three losses the team showed great improvement in their skating ability and look forward to shooting towards their next win.
