Novice Shamrock Cheer On The Rockets
With no games on the league schedule this weekend the Glencoe Lions Club Novice Shamrock Bullets travelled to Strathroy Memorial arena Saturday night to cheer on the Junior B Rockets who were playing against the St. Mary’s Lincolns.
The Bullets recently had a training session with Rockets assistant coach Mike Bondy so VIP access was given directly into the Rockets dressing room before the game. If the dressing room tour was not exciting enough, the chance to meet former Toronto Maple Leaf captain Doug Gilmour in the room sure was! Gilmour was on hand for the game to keep an eye on some of his prospects for his Kingston Junior A team and that was a lucky moment for the Bullets.
The aspiring Bullets then cheered on their elder Rockets to a 4-0 win over the Lincolns and after the game they had the chance to meet some of the players up close for autographs and pictures. The crew got together for a snack at Crabby Joe’s afterwards where Morgan “The Pitbull” Hutson retained her title as team arm wrestling champion.
