Southwest Pee Wee Shamrock Open Season
The Glencoe Legion Southwest Bullets Pee Wee Shamrock team hosted the Ridgetown Rebels in the season opener in Glencoe.
Ridgetown Struck early scoring 45 seconds into the game with a failed clearing attempt by the bullets. The Rebels scored again three minutes later to go ahead 2-0. The Bullets got into penalty trouble closing out the first period with 2 players in the penalty box giving the Rebels a two man advantage. The Bullets found their legs and their scoring touch in the second. The first goal was scored by Devin Henry assisted by Jayden Keating and Peyton Huston at the 11:17 of the second. Approximately three minutes later Ethan Carruthers finished off a scramble in front of the net to notch the game at 2-2. Assists going to Austin Johnson and Jordan Cronin. Ridgetown came right back to go ahead again two minutes later. The Bullets not to be outdone evened it back up 16 seconds later with Dylan Gould sending Trenton Lunn down the right wing so he could do his fancy work to even the score up. After the second the score was tied at 3-3. The Bullets continued with pressure on the Ridgetown team but could not slip anymore past the Rebels goalie. Ridgetown scored a power play and short-handed goals to go up 5-3. With the goalie pulled the Bullets were putting lots of pressure but could not get it between the pipes. The Rebels won the game 5-3.
